PUNCAK - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Friday, 6 September 2024.
The 323 Task Forces, especially the Dambet Post led by First Lieutenant Tria Ristidiyanto, conducted Social Communication while securing the area of Dambet Village, Beoga District. This communication was conducted to foster harmonious relations with the Dambet community while monitoring security.
Emphasizing the Soldiers' role, the Commander of the 323 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, stressed the importance of the Task Forces’ attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. This message was not just words but an immediate call to action, a reassurance of the Soldiers' commitment to the community. Therefore, on that Friday, the Soldiers took advantage of the Post's security routine by inviting the Dambet residents to have a Social Communication event.
While the event took place, the Soldiers had the opportunity to interact and communicate with the residents who came to the Post. To improve the quality of the event, the Soldiers offered to have lunch together. Responding to the offer, the Dambet residents welcomed it with joy. Feeling treated like close relatives, one of the residents, Roni Sondegau, said, "Thank you, Commander 323. God bless."
After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 323 Task Forces’ initiative to conduct Social Communication with Dambet residents. His words: 'The 323 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to conduct inclusive social communication, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region.' This acknowledgment from the highest authority in HABEMA underscores the significant impact of such initiatives on the region's development, instilling a sense of progress and hope about their potential to positively shape the region's future. It makes the Task Forces and the community feel recognized and appreciated for their efforts.
